Jr. High Christmas Party

On December 13th the Jr. High Christmas party was held at the Baldwin's home. Throughout the night, we played games, ate great food, and listened to a story.

In one of the relays we played, Tom gave a Starburst to the first person in line on each of four teams. He or she had to unwrap it, run to the opposite side of the room, chew the Starburst (which were very stale), run back and give another one to the next person in line. Laura S. was unaware that you could unwrap the Starburst with your hands. She thought you had to use your teeth. Being the competitive person that she is, she wanted to waste no time. She decided to eat the Starburst, wrapper and all! Fortunately, her efforts paid off - her team won.

When asked, "What was the highlight of the party?" Alec P., Nathan V., and Amanda C. all chose the tournaments, which were played in ping-pong, pool, and foosball. Drew K. and Charles A. won ping-pong, Nathan V. and Quinlin H. won pool, and Laura S. and Kris S. won foosball.

Excellent food is always important at our parties, and we were not disappointed. There were cookies, cake, dips, cheese sticks, pizza bites and more. Of course, all of it was consumed.

Towards the end of the night, Sandy read us Max Lucado's book, The Crippled Lamb. It was about a lamb that was crippled and was always left out. He learned that God had a purpose for his disability and a special plan for his life. We also had a time of sharing and prayer.

Many thanks to the Baldwins for letting us come over. We had a great time!
