Senior High Christmas Banquet

On the evening of December 6th, the Senior High Youth Group had our Christmas Banquet. Everyone showed up decked out for the party in semi-formal wear - and we made quite the group! When we entered the Sun Room where we were to have dinner, I was completely delighted by the festive decorations Sandy, Mrs. Gable, Mrs. Sandvig, and Mrs. Hanson had set up. Candles and strings of white lights glowed everywhere, accented with Christmas trees and holly.

Dinner was wonderful and we all made sure to give Mrs. Hanson, the cook, a very enthusiastic thank you. After dessert (which featured some absolutely fantastic cake!) We shared Christmas memories and traditions. Then Tom told us the Christmas Story, "The Gift of the Magi".

After that, the informal fun began. We all changed into regular clothes and went to the sanctuary where we spent the rest of the evening playing human foosball and hockey, and a very interesting version of capture-the-flag, featuring straws, q-tips, and blue bandanas. You'll have to catch a member of the Senior High Youth Group to get the full story on this, but I can tell you right now that it was really fun!

The entire night was completely spectacular and I had so much fun. Everyone did. Thank you to all the wonderful people who were involved with making the Senior High Christmas Banquet possible, and Merry Christmas!
