What is Stephen Ministry?
Stephen Ministers are laypersons who have received more than 50 hours of training to be caregivers. As caregivers they provide confidential, one-to-one Christian care to those who are experiencing bereavement, hospitalization, terminal illness, separation, divorce, unemployment, relocation, retirement, empty nest syndrome, and other crisis or life challenges.
Stephen Ministry helps pastors and congregations provide quality caring ministry for as long as the need exists.
