familyserve.jpgFamily Service Projects are multigenerational service events held alternating Wednesdays from 6:30-8:00 during the school year. They are opportunities for all ages to come together and learn how to be Christ’s hands by lifting up other people in prayer as we serve them in tangible ways. This past year we served the church and our local community; men and women in the armed forces, children living in poverty on the east side, families with terminally ill children, children around the world through OCC, our college students, women and children through the Life Centers, children that had come through a traumatic event, and fire fighters and first responders; and through it all God in his infinite grace allowed us to grow in our relationship with Him.

Mark your calendars for the Operation Christmas Child packing night on November 9th and Shepherd Community Weekend bag service project on December 14th. We will begin collecting items for Operation Christmas Child in August, look for the container near the preschool wing.
